DanceSport Dupont is excited to host internationally acclaimed guest instructors Erin Malley and Doruk Golcu for an exclusive late-summer series of progressive classes and intensive Saturday workshops!
Whether you are stepping onto the floor for the first time, refining your intermediate technique, or looking to master advanced concepts like enrosques and close embrace connection, this 3-week program offers clear, biomechanically efficient instruction designed for rapid skill integration.
Friday Night Series: Progression from Basics to Close Embrace
Every Friday night, join us at DanceSport Dupont for a structured two-tier curriculum followed by an open social practice.
1. Beginner Series (Fridays)
Perfect for newcomers or dancers wanting to solidify their foundation in technique and movement mechanics.
Aug 21: Week 1 — The Walk and the Basic
Aug 28: Week 2 — Ochos
Sept 4: Week 3 — Introduction to the Turn
2. Intermediate Series (Fridays at 9:00 PM)
Takes place immediately following the beginner class. Focuses on structural deconstruction, geometry, and connection.
Aug 21: Week 1 — Deconstructing El Básico
Aug 28: Week 2 — Dancing with Triangles
Sept 4: Week 3 — Fundamentals of Close Embrace

Meet Your Guest Instructors: Erin Malley & Doruk Golcu
Erin and Doruk have spent over 20 years dancing, performing, and teaching Argentine Tango together across the United States and Europe.
Erin Malley (BFA in Dance): Brings over two decades of experience across professional choreography, filmmaking, and Pilates instruction. Her intuitive teaching methodology emphasizes biomechanical efficiency, body awareness, and making complex skills accessible.
Doruk Golcu: Combines 25 years of international tango experience with deep studies in martial arts (Aikido and fencing) and fantasy illustration. His teaching focuses on movement mechanics, structural precision, and refining visual aesthetics.
